The Sinema

Near Riddler's Square is the relatively simple but classic exterior of The Sinema.

Inside is richly designed, fit for a golden age of cinema and theater. As befitting the city, The Sinema itself is home to more sensual, sexual and raunchy fare - for the most part.





There is a large concession booth up front at the entrance with posters and schedules for upcoming shows, movies and performances. To the right is the small but stylish bar, for those pre-show or intermission drinks. To the left is a small hallway marked private, leading to rooms for the staff.



Beyond the concession booth are two entrances leading to the main seating and stage area. Red velvet curtain surround the area and give it a traditional look. The stage is large enough for live shows, plays, cabaret or concerts and a screen can be brought down for films or as backdrops to the performances.



A state of the art sound system has been installed and gives a fine surround sound effects.

A smaller stage can center on and spotlight performers within the larger show.



There are two levels of seating. The ground level holding seating for 250 patrons and there is an orchestra pit for an extra 100, when the orchestra is not in session. The balcony section holds another 100 with 12 semi-private boxes which can hold 6 people each and 4 private boxes for couples.

Bathrooms are located on the second floor.

The backstage area is a typical theatre feature, for the staff only, with dressing rooms and other equipment.

Monday: Films noon to 10pm
Tuesday: Closed except for special private viewings
Wednesday: Special showing or rehearsals
Thursday: Special showing or rehearsals
Friday: Film marathons 10am-10pm
Saturday: Matinee and evening shows for theatrical performances
Sunday: Midday film; evening cabaret or concert
